Orr & Simpson Eye Care

Best equipped optician I’ve ever been to in over fifty five years of wearing glasses! They have better scanning capabilities than Ayr Hospital, automated systems for eye testing and the people are lovely. They work with Ayr Hospital doing Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scans to save you waiting at a clinic at Ayr Hospital where the equipment is frankly not as good as at Orr & Simpson. Douglas Orr also works closely with the Ophthalmology team at Ayr Hospital and is extremely knowledgeable about eye conditions. During lockdown I have had two occasions where I needed to get some treatment for eye conditions, on both occasions the referral was done by Alistair Simpson who also works closely with the Ophthalmology team at Ayr Hospital. They also do Zeiss individual varifocal lenses which are the best on the market. Great opticians, highly recommended!
