Buyer beware! Our home inspection was done by Rae Tretiak a year ago. He missed cracked liner in the chimney, which rendered our heating system unusable. He also missed a cut truss in the attic. When you come back to him with your concerns, be sure he will hide behind his rather restrictive contract! Below is the picture of the spot he missed and his comments about it. Not a word about the truss! He missed the elphant in the room!! In his response, he obviously refered to the limitation of his contract and the fact that he is not educated to justify structural soundness of your home. In addition, read carefully (!!!), he describes himself as businessman, not a building professional or an engineer! Do not step on the same rake, stay away from this person and his business. Do not give to this "businessman" your hard earned 600.

Rae of Heart Home Inspections was great to deal with from start to finish! He travelled to Saint John with very little notice because we had a very rushed timeline. He walked us through every step of the inspection, explaining what he was doing and what he was looking for. He generated a report on site and went through it with us.
