Nice quality beers, decently priced. Good walk from ormskirk, warm, welcoming, and a nice open fire! The staff are absolutely amazing and enforce social distancing really well which is always good peace of mind, the customers are also nice and will have a laugh. What more could you want from a pub!

Excellent meal in a very nicely maintained and period building. 2 open fires to add to the atmosphere. Great service and attention from knowledgeable, caring people. All perfect and although not been since moving from the area, some years ago it won't be so long before a return this time, events permitting

Live locally and driven past lots of times, but mainly picked this place as we needed somewhere that was dog friendly, booked a table in the beer garden but dogs also allowed inside. We all ordered fish and chips, and was the best I’ve ever had. Perfect fish, home made chips, lovely mushy peas and home made tartar sauce. Service was great too, all in all, can’t fault so will definitely be back
