I've been an Oregano's fan since the original location, and spent many years visiting the Camelback location as well. I used to mention to the wonderful silver hair lady there, \They need a west side location\, so I was happy when they opened in the avenues on Bell, but even more happy for the Surprise location. First few times there were like being home, but the last few times the service has dropped. Last year we sat on the patio, had several tables seated up to 20 minutes after we ordered food, and they all had meals before us. The manager did apologize when we finally did get our food and everything was tasty as usual. As a long time patron, I figured every place has those days. Jump forward to this last weekend, which is the first time we had been back. My wife and I sat at the bar, ordered drinks, and ordered one calamari app. Again, people seated next to us and behind us over 10 minutes after we ordered had their food before us, including a calamari app for the table behind. I tried to flag the bartender, and I think she saw because I noticed she went to check the kitchen. We did get the calamari about 5 minuets after that - no \sorry\ or even acknowledgement. She was friendly, as was everyone as usual, and the food again was very good, but the delay is just one of my pet peeves. Especially when I hold Oregano's to probably the highest standard, as they had always delivered up to the last few visits. Normally I would ding a place to 2 stars, but the food and staff always are wonderful, so this is more to note to management they might want to work with their expediter or servers to tighten things up. Will update if/when we go again. Cheers.

This location is ALWAYS a mess. They can never keep up with orders and the communication for the team is seriously lacking. Last night we placed an online order 2 hours in advance and when we arrived it wasn’t ready even. We weren’t the only ones! One gentlemen waited an hour after his pick up time for his food to be done. Another family waited 50 minutes along with us. Every time we asked for an update we were constantly told “the pasta dishes are in the oven now” for over 50 minutes to then be told “your pastas were given to someone else who had complained about their order being late.” We then asked for the Manager and the GM (who was working). When confronted about giving our food away they responded with “this is the first we are hearing of that.” Seriously what kind of cluster are you running at this location? I’ve never had this disappointing experience at the Scottsdale location. We finally got our food because “they put it in as priority” (third time we had been told this in the 50 minutes of standing outside) and the pizza was cold. Now the two people who had the chicken parm and shared a salad now have food poisoning today. Even on a normal weeknight this location has been a wreck. Their “teamwork” needs desperate work!
Enjoyed their thin crust pizza very much. Also have the opportunity to sit outside. Would definitely return.
We sat outside and it was a bit chilly for the girls. The propane heater was low on propane and a member of the staff quickly changed it. The food was amazing and the waitress was awesone.
All in all, we love Oregano's and always have great experiences at this location. Great food and great service! Tonight we ordered online, got home, and the portions of our Mom's Sausage & Peppers were astonishingly small. We aren't typically the type to call and complain, but we just had to, and the manager Ryan was so awesome trying to make it right for us. He said we could come pick up more (which is all we wanted), but also threw in a pizza cookie (delicious!) The second time around (pictured), the portion size was generous and the overall presentation of the food was much better. Thanks Ryan and team at Oregano's!
