A www FreeElectrons.Family review: It's a wonderful FAMILY-FRIENDLY, KID-APPROVED stop during our 36-day family camping road trip from Spain to Poland and back this year. 40 for 2 adults, 2 children (4-12 years old)! Check photo of receipt for detailed COSTS. FREE parking too! Plan to spend an entire day here. If you have young kids, take the train to the top. There will be plenty of walking and exploring at the top. There's also a restaurant and snack bars. Read more about our family move abroad, camping, reviews and travels on our blog. Just google us! Magnificent place. The views are stunning. The ride up and down on the train takes around 20 minutes each way. The train is 15 euros return for an adult. Dogs are accepted on the train. 4,30 return. Get their early, we left around 1pm and the queue was huge.

Amazing place to visit beautiful Volcanoes in France. You must be good sportive if you want to walk until top of peak. Otherwise there is a train to take you on top. Must visit once if you are passing through.

Comfortable train up the hill, with beautiful views from both the train and the surroundings. There is a great walk down again if you feel like that, again with great views and partway through a nice forest. Be advised though that it is quite a long way down, usually longer than the 1.5 hour mentioned, and the beginning is quite steep and slippery with little stones on the path.

This is the highest peak around. It's covered in snow and best for a small outing trip. The location is very picturesque. We have a toy train too, to get us up the hill. We could even trek!!!

Good train service but it's not cheap. I walked up and got the train down which I think I'd do again. Great view from the top, free museum which is interesting (almost entirely French only). Cafe with a view. The footpath up is well marked but steep.
