Hotel Junior Kuppanna, Ooty

We visited last week ,we ordered chicken briyani. the food quality is worst. Only cost is best. Comparing street shop, that's is best to compare JK.

I really loved this restaurant, where the neatness and customer service are more satisfactory. Also, the food is pretty delicious. The best part which I loved the most is the coffee there.

Tried chicken pallipalayam dry and mutton biryani and it was amazing. I don't know why there are negative reviews about the staff. They are really helpful and even suggested me to try dishes based on my preferences. Pallipalayam dry was tasty and spicy. Its a speciality item here. Mutton biryani was amazing, super tasty. However, even I agree with the other reviews about the quantity. A good eater can easily eat one starter and one full biryani. To sum up a must try non-vegetarian, banana leaf restaurant.

Neatly maintained safety ensured restaurant for dining during covid times. They provide sanitization and everyone is wearing mask. Mutton biriyani is a good option. Quantity and quality is maintained across franchise. A fail safe lunch option when you visit Ooty.

Ordered Mutton Biriyani here. The taste of the food and service is excellent. Really amazing. However, I must admit that the portion size for the price is unsatisfactory. Hence only 3*. I ended up ordering 2 for myself. I wish they increase the portion size in line with the per dish price.

It is about 2 kms from railway station and bus stand. It takes about 20 minutes to reach by walk. The hotel is located in the main road but if you are on self drive parking is a challenge. The ambience and cleanliness is very good. I tried their vegetable meals which tasted absolutely delicious. It had a sweet (Kesari), Sambar, Pappu (Toor dal), ghee, Kara kozhambhu (Spicy sambhar), 2 vegetables and curd. The service is equally brilliant and timely. The cost is also reasonable for the quantity served. It has other delicacies like biriyani, kothu parotta with multiple choices veg, egg, chicken and mutton. If you are in ooty it is an excellent choice. Payment can be made in cash, card and UPI.

A very decent place to have food. Both veg and non veg available. Payment can be done through digital means. An interesting thing I saw which was actually is that warm water comes while washing hands and tissue paper is actually handy. The restaurant is very well maintained. It's worth for the money.
