A beautiful memorial park. A must see on your history tour.
Public park area beside the Airborne museum. Has some pieces of military hardware (tanks/light artillery) in the area alongside an area set aside for beautiful deer who roam around a fenced off area. Really lovely sight and so peaceful. The park also provides a large open space which can be used for sports and as a meeting place for walkers who are undertaking the annual commemorative walk for the Airborne operation which took place in this location in 1944. It is a great place to meet friends, have a picnic or just enjoy the open space near the larger town of Arnhem or city of Nijmegen (approximately some 20 km to the south).
