That was a nice and a bit of intimate experience, since the place is not big at all, seemed to us there were a lot of locals, whom invited us - tourists whom stayed in a wrong spot first - to dance with them and to have a small chit chat. You can find bigger Sakura fest in Japan for sure, but if you are in Nikko on that time, try it you won't regret

The view from the top of the mountain is great. There is also a monkey cage where you can feed the monkeys up close. There's also an onsen shrine up the mountain which is an hour round trip hike from rope line.
View was decent. Monkey exhibit was sad. Trail was boring. I got a free bookmark for the anniversary.

紅葉の時期にはとてもきれいです。距離の割には少し高いかと思いますが、ライン下りとセットを買えばお得になります。
先日鬼怒川温泉に宿泊した際にマップで存在に気づき、翌朝小雪のちらつく中訪問しました。 片道乗車時間3分で往復1100円と割高感は否めず。円山山頂には30メーターくらいの有料で猿の餌やりが出来る場所と神社があり、更に30分ほど軽く登山すると一本杉があります。そこから川治温泉まで歩けるらしいですが、4時間半かかる上に何も無さそうな場所なので安全対策が必要かと思います。
