This was the first time I'd visited since the refurbishment. There's no doubt that the surroundings have improved. My breakfast was well cooked and hot. Unfortunately that's where the positivity ends. First of all, I was saddened to know that the staff I had come to know no longer worked there - I don't know why and I didn't ask, so there might have been good reason. However, where there was a choice of three sizes of English breakfast this was now reduced to two - small and large - and I ordered the large one as I hadn't eaten at all that day. It cost substantially more than I had paid previously but I put that down to the change in surroundings. When it arrived it turned out to be substantially smaller than the previous medium breakfast - a single fried egg, couple of small bacon rashers, two small sausages and two slices of toast. Previously you could have added to that tinned tomatoes, an extra sausage and mushrooms - for less cost. Tea used to be included as well; now it's an extra. I understand that the new management have changed the emphasis of their menu to encompass Caribbean dishes primarily and this I can appreciate. However, I didn't go for salt fish - I wanted a full English and didn't get what I thought I should have had. Sorry but I won't be going back.

I was short on time today but thought I would treat myself to a veggie breakfast. This cafe does not disappoint. Stacey was very polite when taking my telephone order and the food was ready quickly. They even catered for a take out order to eat in. The food itself was delicious with a slight twist to the beans, which for a vegetarian is a pleasant surprise. I really would recommend!

Had a lovely take away meal yesterday. I had small curry goat with rice and peas. Home made coleslaw.... I must say the young lad that was front of house was polite and well mannered. He knowledge was amazing. The food was delicious. To top it all off I was given a loyalty card.... even more for my money.....thank you for making my Sunday afternoon a great 1.
Had a bacon sausage and egg sandwich was very nice 10 out 10. The coffee was very nice could not find fault. Also it has had a refurb very tasteful and clean. Next visit will be trying the curry goat
