Japanese Archery (Kyuudo) range in Omiya park, beside the folk and history museum. It is used by kyudo clubs. You can spectate from the outside as the main range is in a typical kyudo range. It has a part indoors where the archers stand and they shoot out into the open (outdoor) range. There is just a fence between the range and the viewing area. In theory if an arrow went astray you could get hit, but it is highly unlikely. Airing on the side of caution is no harm though!

大宮公園の博物館の隣りにある弓道場。珍しいなと思って表に廻ると、女子高校生かな道着を着て一列に並んで弓を射ってました。的に当たると的の紙を破る音が聞こえます。外れると土にささる音。中々難しい様子。遥か昔、高校生の頃を思い出しました。
学生の時によくお世話に成りました。

大宮公園内の落ち着いた場所です。 東武アーバンライン（東武野田線）大宮公園駅から徒歩510分といったところです。 外から観覧する場合は、設置された柵が狭めのため、少々見づらいところはあります。 弓道場の西側に隣接してコインパーキングがありますが、台数は少な目（40台くらい？）なので、大会時には満車になることも多いです。 ちなみに、コインパーキングは最初の1時間200円、あとは30分ごとに100円です。 弓道場の周辺には、縄文、弥生、古墳時代の遺跡があったこともあり、弓道場の隣には民族博物館があります。博物館の駐車場（弓道場の東側）はありますが、当然ながら博物館利用者のみが駐車できるものですのでご注意ください。 近くにボート池もあり、自然も多く、のんびりすることもできる場所です。
