I had two short term claims and the process was horrific. What should be a seamless and easy process was not. This is a benefit I pay for through my employer and I had to do all the work and basically hold the hand of the agents and babysit them to be sure they actually sent my paperwork and processed my claim. They say it takes 5 business days to get your claims determination once all paperwork received ....... pfffftttt what a lie! Do NOT go with this company if you have the option! If you have to go with them and need to file a claim, be ready to be on the phone a whole lot and expect some stress tk your recovery time.

Check and double check other quotes. Hartford charged me 500 a yr more than Geico, for the exact same coverage, and I was with them for 11 yrs. Apparently taking advantage of the elderly is a Hartford policy and the phone answerers are coached at it. All three companies I got computer generated quotes (The Zebra.co) from had better rates.
