There are multiple reasons why I would never recommend Dr. Singh. One being his bedside manners. He was not friendly, did not make me feel comfortable, and was not personable. The other being that after a colonoscopy he did, he called me and said a biopsy they took suggested possible Crohn's Disease and he would like me to have a capsule endoscopy done. After the capsule endoscopy was done he called and informed me that it was not Crohn's but possibly just a flare up from a medication I use to be on. A week later my insurance company sent me an EOB denying the whole procedure. When I called UNMC to discuss why they did not code it as possible Crohn's disease being the reason for the endoscopy, they informed me they did it to determine the cause of diarrhea and they would not change the coding. I find it hard to believe that no where in my chart did it discuss the possibility of Crohn's disease when the doctor himself called and told me that. My insurance company would cover the procedure had they submitted it for the reason he originally told me but now I have a huge bill for this procedure. I did not like him after the first meeting with him and after the whole insurance fiasco, I really dislike him. UPDATE -- 6 months later my insurance company has fixed this doctors billing issue. This doctor is committing fraud and I feel bad for the countless people before and after me who he probably incorrectly bills. It was clear to me that he lied and obviously my insurance company agreed. Instead of him getting 100% from me because my insurance denied the way he submitted it, he is getting 5%. His office even called PRIOR to the procedure to ask if the endoscopy would be covered due to possible Crohn's Disease and when told it WOULD BE covered, he switched up his billing to something they wouldn't cover. He should be ashamed of himself.
