I haven't even had my procedure yet and already dislike this place. I went for my consultation didn't even see the doctor for 9 minutes and got a ridiculous bill, billing office won't even discuss the bill with me. I just called for some questions about my procedure and the lady was rude and was a cookie cutter responses and didn't answer anything.

‼️I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY TO USE THIS PRACTICE‼️ Today was my first time at this Office...I saw Dr. Cannella...When your seeing a doctor for the first time you want that “I like him, I think he’s going to help me figure out my issues” but I didn’t get that...I feel like he was in a hurry and found myself having to re-ask questions...He ended up wanting me to have a upper scope done...I proceeded to go to scheduling for my procedure...Virginia was so rude and made it very clear I was a inconvenience...I asked if I could go ahead and have a colonoscopy done because I was already going to be under anesthesia and Dr Cannella said I Would probably end up having one...She was so upset I asked that and in a very inconvenienced tone said she had to ask the Doctor and I get that but she didn’t need to throw attitude...When she came back from talking to Dr. Cannella she threw the paper work she had filled out before talking to the Doctor I a trash bin snatched different paper work from her filing cabinet and in attitude tone said “now we have to reschedule your appointment” like I already was nervous about this appointment and didn’t feel reassured with Dr. Canella and then Virginia and her unprofessional behavior sealed the deal on I am going somewhere else...I wish I would of read the reviews first because I wouldn’t of taken time out of my day and to find a babysitter because kids aren’t allowed at the appointments with their parent’s/grandparents or whoever they are with....

If I could give a 0 star, I 100% would. It is super unfortunate that all of Omaha's doctors refer their clients to Midwest GI for any Gastrointestinal problems. I am 26 years old and they have put me through 3 upper and lower scopes, swallowed a pill with a camera, countless MRI's, CT scans, X-rays, breath tests etc. After every test, I got the call \you are healthy..... you probably just have IBS. Tough it out... come back in 3 months and we will have a follow up check up.\ and never found anything. If you want any assistance to pay their bills, be sure that you do not tell them that you are living with roommates. Their salaries will count towards your own, which in return, you will more than likely get denied for any financial aide. Fast forward 2.5 years of dealing with significant health problems, they FINALLY sent me to get a HIDA scan (I had to suggest it after doing my own research) and we find out that, that ,my gallbladder was the problem all along. So now, I am thousands of dollars in debt that, that I had to get a personal loan to pay them off... when all along they could have ran one test (which is predominantly ran before the scopes) but never did. Thank goodness I recommended it, as my doctor said this would be the LAST resort. (also.. this test cost me 200 after insurance.... when an upper and lower scope cost roughly 2000) I will NEVER go back to them ever again for anything and HIGHLY recommend to not go here if you are having problems. Find anywhere else... all they care about is money and numbers of patients. My appointments with the doctor were always 3 minutes long and never walked away with any answers. I cannot say enough how absolutely horrible this business is.

Dr. Bernal is so Amazing & Kind! Very professional at doing his job. I was so nervous about going and he made me forget all about the scary parts of the procedure and I totally relaxed. Before I knew it, it was done and he was out explaining everything to me. Now I can go with confidence next time! Thanks Dr. B!!
