We were referred to Dr Mercer by our home GI specialist. He and his whole team was absolutely amazing. He listened carefully and had reviewed extensive records sent from our home hospital before we met and came up with a plan to try to help my daughter. Dr Mercer clearly cares about the patients he sees and helping them to have a better quality of life. He makes you feel very calm and at peace. He has a wonderful bedside manner. I wish we could have met him years ago! He is truly one of a kind and very good at thinking outside the box.

My father had surgery in November of 2018 where they nicked his small intestines and it took them 26 hours to go back in. We were referred to the Short Bowel Clinic and got Dr. Mercer and his team. They finally were able to reverse his ileostomy September 2020, and close a five inch wound in his belly. Dr Mercer is an amazing doctor, who goes well beyond and above for his patients. Along with his team my dad is finally on the road to recovery, and with their help we have a really good chance of getting him off of his TPN (a IV bag of nutrients that he gets 12 hours a day) in the next couple of months. We are so blessed and grateful for Dr Mercer and he has been a rock for us.
The best doctor and clinical team a patient could ask for!!! Friendly, excellent bedside manner, intelligent, good at what he does with unparalleled experience. Dr Mercer has saved my life and continues to care very closely for me.
