Great day in the Maize Maze. Two kids under 3 so just paid for the adults. The place is well spread out but you can see everything so if you had older kids you could just let them run free. Sand pit, mini golf, hay bail climbing, few little ball games and a water balloon fight arena. The maize maze is very hard and took us an hour and a half pushing a buggy around and chasing a 3 year old. People have pushed through a few extra paths but doesn't ruin the fun. Don't go in needing the toilet and there are no seats so be prepared for a long walk. Take a packed lunch to keep the day affordable as there are picnic benches and plenty of space for blankets. Only criticism is there's nothing for really little ones. Would be nice to have a matted area and some soft blocks and balls but they have a sand pit.

Friendly staff. The place is now COVID19 secure. Wide range of gardening products, flowers, fruit trees and shrubs. Staff are really knowledgeable about compost, fertilizer, weed killers and safe way of getting rid of bugs like aphids. They play lovely songs at low volume which is very comforting. Oliver's nursery is located in lovely rolling countryside.

Lovely lunch of quiche salad and potatoes. Friendly staff. Social distancing applied. All tables was cleaned before new customers sat down

If you live local then an ideal place to go but not particularly big to look around or shop for plants. Ok if you want to factor fruit picking and the maze but on our visit, found that all the early birds had already picked all the best fruit, most walking out with four big baskets without a thought for others because the field is also small.

We drove down to witham to visit the maize maze - went on a Sunday and got there about 10.30, it was nice and quiet so we went straight to the maze. It cost 6 quid a person, under 3 is free - so we just paid for me and the wife. Paid an extra quid for a map (which is refundable if you don't use it). Also got given an activity card to stamp the animals when we find them in the maze (we found 7...) our 2.5 year old loved running about the maze and we managed to get to both the scaffold structures to see our progress. We was prob in the maze just over an hour - glad it wasnt baking hot! The pram wasnt too bad to push round as the ground was fairly solid and paths fairly wide in most places. After the maze we popped over to activity field for crazy golf (free - just get clubs and balls from shack), duck race (2.5 yr old enjoyed this but struggled to pump as it big high for him), catapult, hook the duck, hay climbing, go karts (which me and wife also did!), and a play in the sand. In total we was there just over 2 hours - could have been there a bit longer but some rumbly tummies were calling. Worth a visit if in area, the only bits we think that could be improved is the toilets (bit rough round the edges), and as per one of the other reviews a small area for the very small people would have been useful.
