Had to go to A&E today after a fall on ice, I had xray was seen and home within the hour, staff very friendly and caring, hospital looked very clean and staff all in PPE, very impressed

After I was knocked off of my Motorbike in May 2019 the Paramedics brought me to Royal Oldham Hospital. The speed I was processed was quite quick. I was admitted on the Monday. Operation done on my leg on the Tuesday and I was out of the hospital with my crutches on the Friday. The staff were extremely friendly and nice to talk to even when I accidentally yanked my panic alarm out of the wall. I currently go back every 2-3 months and I’m still looked after well by the staff.
Arrived at A&E at 4.00pm yesterday (12 Feb 21), after slipping on ice and breaking my wrist. I was seen, X-rayed, strapped up and on my way home by 5.00pm. I was seen by Jill, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, who was very professional but empathetic at the same time, she gave me instruction re ‘virtual’ fracture clinic. This morning (13 Feb 21) I was rung by A&E to check how I was. Excellent from Royal Oldham. Thank you.

Staff in A&E are amazing and were very attentive and thorough in finding out what was wrong with me. Had to stay a few nights and overall the doctors and nurses looked after me very well and I can’t fault them. They all deserve a pay rise and their work needs to be acknowledged & appreciated more- thank you all
