Stopped here for a coffee and some drinks on a wet and windy day. We were met by a lovely member of staff and a roaring fire. Great service and perfect for what we needed. Sadly we weren’t eating as the food sounded great.....perhaps next time we’re passing. Highly recommended.

Booked in for Sunday Carvery. Covid secure, briiliant staff, Roast Lunch was excellent - generous portions and really good value. Ordering all done online - simple and quick. Definitely one of the best roasts I have had..... Definitely come back when visiting the area again.
Quite disappointed. Had lovely meals here in the past. Had to send my husbands meal back as tasted really odd this visit . He had the steak and ale pie . Has always been lovely previously. I had the liver bacon and onion gravy. They forgot the bacon then sent me out 2 slices of bacon in a plastic bowl .hopefully Just the chef having a bad day . My husbands meal was replaced without any issues and thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips . We would still happily go back x
We went last night. It is a very good and popular pub with amazing staff. Really friendly. They are a victim of there own success. We were booked in at 7.30 but didn't have our meal served until 9.20pm. admitted with the Coronavirus situation it is really awkward. The pub was heaving with people. The wait was to much really. It's Hard to park anywhere. But the food is good and staff are nice.
Wow, you certainly won't leave here hungry. Hubby had the \mini\ mixed grill and it was huge, served with a basket of chips. I had the lamb & mint pie special which was gorgeous. The side of onion rings was massive, must be about 25 in the basket. Really nice food & excellent value. Brought our Great Dane & 5 year old & stagg were very accommodating. Highly recommend.
