Great local off licence, fantastic selection of wines, craft beers and spirits. Particularly good whiskey selection and very helpful staff if you are wanting some help picking a gift.

Just had the worst customer service of my life from this place (from the bald gentleman working there Fri evening 11/9/20 ). I entered without a face mask on and was asked if I could put one on, to which I replied “I’m exempt mate” in a cheerful voice (this is the truth as I have both asthma and a heart condition, not that that it is any of his business anyway), to which he replied something to the tune of “aye dead on mate” with a sarcastic roll of the eyes. Long story short, said bald gentleman asked me to “just leave” in a very abrupt, confrontational, uncalled for manner, on account of having “never seen me before”.... despite the fact that I’ve been shopping at the off-licence for many years since before he was ever working there. Such a shame as it really is a good wee shop. Just a pity about the staff.

Beautifully kept town with colourful flower beds, planters and baskets everywhere you look. An abundance of colour on the banks and verges from wild flowers on the outskirts and a beautifully kept town square with lots of history.
