My husband and I had a very nice Valentine's day dinner here. There was no wait. We got seated right away and our food was brought to us quickly.

Stopped by Old California Mining Company for some dinner by my lonesome. The place has tons of character and the staff were on their game! I got the country fried steak with garlic mashed and a side of the potato soup. The soup was fantastic and tasted like a liquified loaded baked potato... YUM! The country fried steak was cooked well and had a delicious crispy & flakey breading, unfortunately the gravy tasted a bit generic....fine, but nothing special. Got a salmon entree to take home the wife, she is super picky and gobbled it right up, said it was delicious and she'd get it again. All in all, it was a great experience and I look forward to going back and trying something else.
We arrived there on a Monday night and were seated on the patio. There were only three other couples seated. Two waiters served the other two tables and never even looked our way. It would have been nice if the waiters would have at least acknowledged us and sent someone to wait on us. After waiting for over 15 minutes I went back inside to ask for service. There were no customers inside so the place was basically empty! After some time a waitress came out and took our drink order. After the drinks arrived she took our food order, being very pleasant all the time. When our food arrived (one hour) it was almost warm, including the baked potato. The food was very good but would have been much better if it were served hot! You would think that with three servers and only six customers the service would have been much better. I enjoyed the food but the service left a lot to be desired!
Great steak and excellent IPA. Also love the Tri Tip sandwich for lunch. Great British style fries so what's not to love !
I am a honest reviewer, and I usually always see the positive in places. But this was a let down. As I approached the hostess desk the manager lady was rude to the waitress that greeted us in front of our party. She was snappy and it looked very unprofessional. I went to the restroom and it was disgusting. Urine everywhere, and the toilet was broken. My daughter also went to restroom and she said it was out of toilet paper and her toilet also wouldn't flush. It took a very long time to get our drinks from the bar as well as the appetizers. My soup was salty and looked as if it exploded in the microwave. Our dinners were not too bad, the sandwich had a soggy bottom, and my ribs were overcooked, but it tasted ok. This was not during peak times so I cant excuse the bathrooms or the slow service. I wont be back, and I'm sad this place was such a let down.
