When the fish is fresh, the sauce accompanies them affectionately and the rice is made right so the sushi is excellent. That's how we felt at Okinii. It was worth the trip from the UES. warmly recommended.

AMAZING! Food is great, service is awesome, and they're outdoor dining is set up really nicely. My wife and I love to come here for date night, and can't wait till we return!
A nice parking spot after a Soho shopping stroll in early fall. Plunge on a seat and grab a thick bullion ramen of pork flavor, add a hot sake, bring a blanket. 5 star for service and super friendly staff, food is good.
I order the shrimp tempura, calamari amd dragon ball. I was very disappointed: the shrimp tempura was soaked in too much oil, calamari over fried and the dragon ball tasted bland. The food missed flavor and freshness.
The ramen is disappointing. Bland, and made with sweet corn and a fried (FRIED!) egg. That's something my Aunt Barbara from Cleveland would do in her attempt to make \Chinese food\. On top of that, they don't even have green tea. There are at least 5 other Japanese restaurants within a block of this one you'll likely have a better experience at.
