Lovey place for breakfast. Off the beaten track, so away from the high street, and fantastic theme for the place... including a ‘newspaper’ for a menu - lovely touch. Food was fantastic, with lots of choice, and service was great as well. Recommend you book as it was very busy!

Came here as a birthday treat from my son and it lived up to all expectation and recommendations. Our server was an absolute delight and the food exemplary. I chose the chowder and although there was a little wait for the food to arrive ( it was busy!) it was most definitely worth it. Can't wait to come back again!
I can't believe we never visited this place before, giving that we come to the island quite frequently. The setting is beautiful, the menu is quite original but a bit hard to read. The staff was very polite and friendly and gave us a table even if we had no booking and we were probably the last food order before they closed. My fish chowder was incredible and so filling that I could not have dinner on the day. They also had a very safe system in place and all the staff had masks, gloves, etc. If you haven't been here yet, this should be your next lunch date destination.
Great food, lovely setting, beautiful walking and cycling area. Second visit to off the rails, sat inside this time , great interior, loved the railway seats. Unfortunately my daughter and I made a bad choice we had Northern Italy, a vegan pasta dish. It had an overwhelming taste of aniseed and was very hard to finish. I think the chef slipped with the tarragon!! This was priced at 16 and was basically just pasta and pine nuts. My husband still enjoyed his luggage burger.
Nice venue but marred by a very rude owner. A few hours after my friend and I had a late lunch here, I became unwell with an upset stomach. It wasn't particularly serious but certainly more than just indigestion. My friend thought we should inform the owner just in case it was something in the meal I'd had and they would be able to take appropriate action should they have had any other people reporting similar. The response from the owner can only be described as staggering. He became very rude, described my friends feedback as \Rubbish!\ raising his voice and shouting down the phone at her. He then suggested that I was a liar, and ended the call by saying, \I don't want to see you or your friend ever again!\ Given the current health situation, I would have thought it more important than ever for food outlets to receive such information in an appropriate way so that any potential trends can be monitored. At anytime, to respond to genuine, honest and open feedback in such a hostile and unprofessional way is very surprising. Definitely not a customer friendly experience.
