This place man.. drink ten beers or cider and get a mug in the ceiling. What's not to like? Some crazy dude did this 1000 times, which means he've used 300.000DKK in beer here. I'm impressed.. anyway, don't miss out!

When life gets hard, drinking gets easy. And if you want to go all-in, Viggos is the number one place to do so in Odense. Cheap beer? Check. Lots of seating? Check. Kitschy decor? Check. Friendly staff? Check. The concept of drinking a "date", ie 10 beers in setting and getting a glass engraved with your name for future use to forever memorialize your poor life decisions? Check, check and double check. You go here to see friends, get drunk and wake up the next morn... Errr, afternoon and regret everything. Then you do it again.
Nice place. Good for drinking something and play dices with friends. Good environment and nice stuff.
The bar and atmosphere is very nice. The only problem I had is that during the night bartenders should check on the toilets. It was very nasty and messy.
The floors have great charm with the wooden tables and walls... however, it lacks finesse that compliments the rustic design, the acoustics are horrible, the bartenders does not have access to the marginal trade of the products which means they can't make batch discounts, the bartenders lacks the understanding of standard service mentality. This bar has nothing special in terms of beer, cocktails nor whisky selections. However the "dato" tradition in Odense is what their brand is depended on, which you can see on their ceiling and walls at first couple of steps after entré. Would only recommend if you would like a dato, if not then visit a different bar in Odense.
Comparably good prices and a very cozy atmosphere. Smoking adds to it, though it also leaves the unpleasant smell, an uncommon experience for Europeans from out of Denmark
Drinking dato at Viggos is by now an institution - and one of the highlights of the Odense night life scene. Come here for the bustling vibe and cosy atmosphere.
