As with most Brewers Fayre restaurants the food and service is exceptional. Going by just the food and service this restaurant would easily have received a 5 star review from me, however, I personally like to take all aspects into consideration, including things like cleanliness of all areas including the toilets. This restaurant has therefore dropped down to a 4 star review as the male toilets on this occasion were not what I expect if they are checked 'regularly'. Photos have been attached, but I will visit this restaurant again, and I hope to improve the score to a 5 star next time

We called in for lunch without a reservation and they found us a table. They took our details and explained the one way system for our safety. The order was taken at the table and was waitress served throughout our meal. Becky was our waitress and she was friendly, polite and very efficient. She is a credit to Brewers Fayre. Well done. Our meal was plentiful and very reasonably priced. Well done to all staff. ️Give them a visit when next in Southport.
Just returned from a very nice meal with friends who are staying at the hotel. Have to admit I've never considered it as a dining experience. I will from now on. Good choice of menu and reasonable price given the type of venue. I had the fish and chips, came golden, amount of batter just right, lovely white juicy fish inside. Really impressed, attentive staff, good service, what's not to like.
Very busy bank holiday Monday, but the staff were excellent. Food was good, had to wait a little longer than usual, but we expected that. Hat's off to the lady at the front booking desk who maintained the safety rules regarding the use of the toilets, even though she was being pressured to give in by a member of the public! If people could read the signs and then abide by them, we can all stay safe ! The staff should be respected for maintaining safety and not blamed for doing so.
