Ate here two weeks ago no problem food was ok...went back today “the manager” said she wouldn’t honor a medical exemption for no mask even if we sat on the patio...maybe if you had better customer service the place wouldn’t of been dead... In response to the owner NOT everyone that can't wear a mask is vulnerable to COVID so NO I won't nor need to be ordering take out! Can't spread a disease you don't have. You should be following the county mandate which you aren't.

I've been here a few times over the years and was excited to see they were finally open again. We ordered the OG ramen, veggie white, and Korean animal fries (half price during happy hour!). Portions are generous! No styrofoam, and the packaging is both reusable and microwave-safe. They also left the soft boiled eggs in the shell so that they don't break during transport. Honestly, the ramen broth was bland, not at all like I remember. The meat was also bland, and more mushy than tender. The veggie white was more interesting than the OG, but still..needs something more. I'll be adding some sesame oil and chili oil when I eat the leftovers. The \spice bomb\ addon used to be free but I did not get it for 1. Seems like the ramen may not be worth it without it. The animal fries were AMAZING. I'm not big on fries, nacho cheese, or kimchi, but somehow the flavors all compliment each other fantastically. I basically just ate this and ignored my ramen. I still give it four stars, because I know from the past that Obon has great food, so I will forgive them this time for the ramen and hope they don't disappoint in the future!
One of my frustrations with eating out is the amateurs with access to the spice cabinet. This place is not such a place. Holy cow batman! This place should be renamed spice ninja with how excellent blend of flavoring on their broths and korean fried chicken.
Ordered Raman to-go. Got home and the egg was still in its shell, and the interior wasn’t set (yes, I know it’s sous vide, but this still wasn’t done). The ramen wasn’t bad, but not amazing. Certainly not worth what we paid for it. The bar tend who helped with the pickup order pulled his mask down to talk to my husband, despite my husband being masked up and obviously caring about COVID and social distancing. When paying, there was no option for touchless payment or to use a sanitized pen— this should be figured out when we are one year into the pandemic. This was our first time here, and it was really disappointing.
First time here and it was great. The atmosphere is loud and vibrant. It's got a neighborhood vibe like I could take my kids here or go on a date. The food is delicious and the staff are all very nice and attentive. Highlights: pineapple sake- pretty fantastic, eating your way through the happy hour sushi menu, those chicken wings- I'm not sure what's on them but I definitely need more. Will definitely be back.
