Not a bad pub. Good offers on food and drink. We went on a football night so quite loud. Quieter once the match finished. Comfortable seating and nice surroundings. Good choice of food and drink. Good place for groups, not so intimate or cosy for couples. Plenty of families in the pub.

1st visit. Great for meat eaters. Fish n chips special yummy. Really fab staff and atmosphere. Not gourmet, basic fare, good honest grub. Only grumble, big screen on day time is naff.

What a great family-run pub! Fantastic staff who provide brilliant service. Food is always hot and tasty and the turn around from ordering to table is quick and efficient. Drinks are reasonably priced and the pub has a great atmosphere with many TVs, jukebox, pool table and fruit/gaming machines. There’s a restaurant side to the Oakwood, which is quieter and provides table service for those who want more than a pub. Highly recommended!
