Oaktree Fishery

Well looked after Fishery set in beautiful countryside. Fished the specimen lake and had three mid doubles. There are a few specimen fish but also a lot of low to mid doubles.

Fished on the top lake, 6 per rod. Overcast day and a change in air pressure made fishing quite challenging. That said, my son pulled out 12 fish, all 5-6lb. A fantastic place for taking a child who is wanting to learn as their are plenty of swims that are clear of obstruction. Shop had moved to a portacabin in the initial carpark. Well stocked with bait (no maggots) and spare kit. Bottom and top lake are stocked with common, mirror and koi carp up to double figures. Anything getting bigger than that is moved to middle lake. Slightly more expensive on the middle lake but carp up to 30lb. A stunning venue on the edge of Exmoor. Unless staying in accommodation, fishing available from 7am. Night fishing available upon request. Space for campers and caravans but unsure of pricing. Highly recommended. Matches do occur there so sometimes a lake may be booked out.

Been to oaktree on lots of occasions the last two times have been excellent. Fished the middle lake, I've fished for over 20 years and had one of my best dsys
