I am also trying to fight a collection from 2 years ago that my insurance should have covered. This is disturbing, I have tried calling the collection agency, Advocate Christ Hospital, the medical group, and have not gotten anywhere. This definitely sounds like a pattern, and now that I know this, I will fight it in whatever way possible.

Checked my credit report found out I was in collections. I never received any notice from this group nor the collection agency.
Been on the phone for 40 minutes trying to talk to a human because we were sent to collections today after never seeing a bill. I am going to file a claim with Better Business Bureau about this company, and make sure not to use their services again.
I never recieved a bill from these people, i had a surgery at Lutheran General Hospital almost 4 years ago. I just received notification for 55, that just hit my credit report. I am contacting Advocate Heathcare System corporate office after reviewing these reviews below, i do believe there is enough evidence for internal investigation of fraudulent billing practices. Advocate needs to be aware and hold providers like them accountable, especially since i did not pick my anesthesiologist.
I first received a bill for about 600 and then got in contact with them in July. Was on the phone with them and my insurance company and my insurance company was telling them what the did wrong. Fast forward to November and the bill was reduced to about 500 but still saying I owed. Tried contacting them as they we're transitioning and called the new number and never heard from them again. I spoke with someone from Christ and they listed the new number I was given but doesn't work and they had no idea what was going on. So far haven't got anything on my credit report. This is so wrong!!!
