We had been recommended to visit by friends so booked ahead. We arrived early evening and were welcomed by the manager. Despite appearances (looks like a fairly run of the mill pub externally) internally was modern, fresh and open. We were run through the social distancing measures and taken up to a table in the garden. They were fully booked but had a decent amount of space between tables which was very reassuring. The menu was great, a wonderful range of options. When it comes to the pizzas themselves, what a delicious highlight, we have raved about them since.
The best authentic pizza in the area! We’ve missed not being able to visit Oakfired since all the madness of this year, however their collection service does not disappoint. Superb quality and a great stay at home alternative to actually cooking. So nice to have restaurant quality food at home! Fabulous job guys and we can’t wait to see you properly when things get back to normal.
This is a passion project and it shows. You can tell from the previous reviews that although the decor of this place is simple and warm, a lot of effort has been poured into the food. The 'pizza fritta' starter is superb, and the traditional Neapolitan pizzas are doughy and crisp, with traditional toppings. The owners clearly love the old-fashioned approach of Naples. Authentic, considered and delicious pizza.
We enjoyed a fantastic family meal here. They did a great job of socially distancing and making us feel safe whilst also keeping a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The beer garden was a great place to dine. Pizza was top class as always! They were also really lovely with our one year old son. Would highly recommend!
