I appreciate warmth in the winter months, and electricity makes this possible. I like to breathe clean air, and nuclear power generation, though not completely without a carbon footprint, contributes to my well-being. I will continue to tolerate this generating method while there is no obvious alternative to the capacity. Beznau Nuclear Power Plant is well maintained, operated by personnel that live in the community, and they have a distinct stake in the safety of this enterprise.
One of the best nuke site I've ever visited. Although the fission rods look a bit dated they are well kept up.The swimming pool in the cooling tower was closed on our visit and for that reason I'm going to take two stars away.
I love nuclear power, but keeping an old plant open past what its own builders considered safe is insanity. Build new ones!
Nuclear power at the moment is the pinnacle of energy production. Any country running nuclear power plants safely should be proud of itself. Sorry, renewable advocates, renewables just cannot deliver what is needed. One day you will understand it, perhaps.
