Hihola

I was surprised at how interesting and worth the entry fee (7 adults, 6 concessions, not sure of children's price) this was. Takes about 2 hours to go round th whole gardens and read the info signs dotted about, but definitely factor in time for the potting shed cafe, really good. To be fair we had a great day, with amazing weather. I enjoyed exploring the gardens. Walled garden is really nicely kept and the rest of th botanics at Logan was a nice walk. I don't really have green fingers or much of an interest in botany, but was nice to see some cool and rare plants and trees. The filo pasty tree was interesting as was the speciality pine, apparently one of only 100 on th world and akin to finding a dinosaur alive today in botany circles. Also, really great cafe (the potting shed). Great selection of cakes and the usual soups and sandwiches but a beautiful outlook and a very helpful staff. Really impressed with level of Covid safety being carried out too. I had the lemon roulade, really nice and homemade, yum. Loved it, would go back.
