The family had not used Gordon Barber before, but I found them so very thoughtful, kind and helpful. The procedures were explained very clearly and all my queries were answered. I was left with nothing to worry about. I was contacted to assure me that all was going well and on the day of the funeral the staff were very kind and helpful. The memory box was an unexpected and welcome surprise. Aftercare has also been kind and caring. Thankyou so much.

Gordon Barber arranged my husband's funeral in December last year. They were extremely caring , thoughtful and helpful at this difficult time. Celia discussed our wishes with great care, suggesting ideas etc. The funeral arrangements on the day were faultless and the funeral staff there looked after us with great care and dignity. I was given a Memory Box with lovely poems - that was a wonderful thought. I would really recommend Gordon Barber Funeral Directors for a wonderfully caring service with great dignity.
We were faced with arranging a funeral for our son, who died suddenly and unexpectedly. Celia, Tim, and all the team were a great source of advice, compassion, and support throughout this very unfamiliar process. They guided us through the complex system of dealing with the Coroner's office, offering a 'provisional' date as we waited for the release of the body of our son to \their care\. Touching phrases such as these, made difficult circumstances easier to bear. Throughout making arrangements, good solid advice was offered, but never hurried, or pressured. We both felt immense gratitude for their VERY professional support. We will always be grateful for their invaluable help, and support at this time. We would recommend their services without hesitation to others.
