Just had the take away roast dinner. Very very impressed! We had the beef and the turkey. Extremely generous portions of meat....and proper meat not the reconstituted stuff! The beef was cooked rare but not too rare and the turkey was moist and tender and thick. Fresh veg, mash and roasties, 2 Yorkshire puds each, stuffing and lashings of gravy. Incredible value for money and we will definitely do this again.

Had a fantastic Meal here this afternoon with my wife and her aunt, I had the combo and it was really nicely cooked, tasted amazing and the portion size was great. I shared the fruit Sundee with my wife and this was also to a great standard with fresh fruit and really nice ice cream. Staff were friendly and service was great without been too intrusive. The pub itself has a large outdoor area and they welcome dogs outside or in the bar area during bad weather (not sure if only then ) the dining area (and bar area) is clean and inviting. It was quiet when we visited so can't comment on service during busy periods but will be going again and will update the review then. Based on my first visit the Stanley Arms is highly recommended.

Very nice canal side pub a very short distance from the Anderton boat lift. We visited during the corona virus outbreak and sat in the very spacious pub garden. We could just roll our bikes up to the table, didn't have to worry about leaving them anywhere. Drinks delivered to the table and ordered through the hopt app. We didn't have a table booked but they were very flexible and we were still able to get a table, some soft drinks and a couple of bowls of chips to sustain us during our bicycle ride.
