I enjoyed my studies there in 2010.Great city though very cold. Some warm and friendly lectures ,great library .The school of law building is a nice master piece and i enjoyed it . The city center by the school added to the glamour, Never a dull city. Miss Newcastle Upon tyne.

Northumbria University is the largest university of the North-East sife of the UK. The varsity was fully renovated in 2008. Since then, there are two limbs of the campus, the east wing has only 2 buildings, one having law and business faculties, another one dealing with social science, arts, designing. The west wing deals with the other faculties and is 6-7 times the east wing. And, most of the student accommodations are also at the east wing. The library facility of Northumbria University is one of the best in the UK and was declared joint 1st in the whole UK by Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2014. This varsity is one of the top 3 varsities in the UK in terms of sporting facilities. The city centre of Newcastle is just two steps away, and it makes this university being placed just at the heart of Newcastle. And, Newcastle being one of the most student friendly cities of the UK plus, the fact that this city is one of the most livable- makes Northumbria University one of the most sought after universities in the UK.
I'm studying masters degree here. So far my experience is great with the university and bad with the tutors. Lecturers are not helping and they teach pointless. But campus is lovely and big you need to walk a lot while shifting to another class. Library and parking facilities are great. Bike parking is almost every 50meters. I would specially not recommend international students to join here for business and marketing courses. I'm facing problems with my tutor, where the marking system is worst, they teach you ABC and expect you to do XYZ. But some tutors like Prof Andrew Robson really motivate you and teach well and listen international students queries and resolve them. I would say the university is good but because of some tutors it's really bad. Please don't be so harsh towards international students. Both of my children study there.I visited the place , it's awesome,clean ,modern , inclusive with an amazing library and tutors more supportive that I could ever imagine. The city is so beautiful, vibrant and quite cheap too. Happy for that choice!
