Although only around 8.5 miles, it is certainly a strenuous but more than worth it hike! Beautiful panoramic views of the Rockies, lake, and mountain streams abound so don't forget your camera! Also make sure to bring an extra jacket as the weather is quite unpredictable as the elevation rises.
The Alaska highway! Such a beautiful scenic drive threw the Northern Rockies. The loop is a must, if you ever have the chance todo so. It’s recommended. The trip started for me in Hinton,AB. And stopped at home in Fort st.john,BC. At the time. Travel time was 4 days of spectacular camping & driving.
Definitely have to go see Baba Canyon when your there.
You have to hike the Summit Peak Trail. It is a must see if you are traveling through the Northern Rockies Provincial Park just off of the Al-Can. It is a physically moderate trail that is well marked and offers stunning views. It's about 3 miles to the peak.
Park true to the name, Stone Yes, Mountain Yes, Would recommend if interested in either or the combination of both. plenty of views and opportunity to see wildlife is great all year round from the aptly named Stone sheep and caribou down to them small rodents that call the boulder fields home.
Beautiful location! Highly recommend the hiking and lots of wildlife
Great over night stop or for a fishing afternoon...
