Great food. there nowhere in Northampton for good Caribbean. Calypso offers great price meals 4. Also has the best jerk chicken & patties i ever tryed Kind regards mr Simmons.

first things first I'm not local I'm a long distance lorry driver and found myself parking in Northampton for the night.... looked on just eat to find all the usual suspects Indian Chinese kebab or pizza then found calypso ( I do love Caribbean cuisine) So now to the review..... I ordered Guinness punch Jerk chicken chicken curry 2 x rice and peas 12 chicken wings ( this was an order for me and the missus ) firstly the chicken literally was falling off the bone rice was cooked to complete perfection and the Guinness punch had a great blend of vanilla cream and stout.... I will say I've eaten from many different takeaways across the UK and europe but this is by far the best Caribbean food I've actually tried.... real authentic jamaican cuisine.... A ***** thanks guys see ya when I'm next staying in your area
Ordered from Calypso this evening. Placed our order about 8pm. Our food finally turned up at 9.35pm. We ordered boneless goat curry, they changed it as they didn't have boneless (not the end of the world).Though tasty, both sides were missing and in an attempt to try and compensate, there were a few packets of crisps in with our delivery. Feeling very disappointed. I've tried to call the restaurant about the missing sides. No answer!??? Doubt we'll order from them again.
De best Curry goat I've had for a long time, the rice was very creative. Not just some lump of white rice in a corner. At 7 pound it is good value. Very friendly owner. I will definitely come back when in Northampton. I drank a Supermalt with it!
Ordered from here for the first time tonight, I was not disappointed! The food arrived within good timing and it was still very hot and fresh. Would definitely be ordering again
