You need to be there to believe. Multiple contracts run on the same site - unable to run them effectively and efficiently due to lack of room and staff. No DHL drivers there - makes you wonder why DHL drivers do not want to support this site. Operations mainly rely on temporary staff, staff that is being fed with promises of full time contracts. Contracts never come. People have really bad attitudes (thanks to some management) and only look after themselves, not others. Mangement often lies to get out of trouble and puts agency staff in trouble instead. The only way to survive there is to do exactly the same. H&S has been compromised recently by allowing passenger cars on site and high numbers of 'van drivers' - most of them have never heard of Highway Code or are unable to see on site speed limit. Why? Because their mobile phones get in the way. Most of the time, there is no room for delivery or collection vehicles. Fire assembly points are used for parking too. You receive utterly confusing instructions from gatehouse staff. Goods In/Out staff puts cigarette breaks before serving drivers/visitors. More or less, a bit of Wild West experience. You only need 30 minutes of up to 1 hour on site to get to see the above. I do not recommend. Not all that glitters is gold \u200d️

Arrived for a collection of Covid test kits at 14:30, now 19:00 and still not loaded. 2 trucks have already driven away empty so no Covid tests for wherever they were going and my collection is looking doubtful due to driver hours regulations. Been driving trucks for 18 years and this is the single worst place I have been. However the staff and managers are nice and very apologetic.

Bring a sleeping bag and some food you will be here a while
very nice smelling transport office, but the girls working there are cocky and will make sure you will wait for 10 minutes to be served. No rush - DHL most wanted place to work! Keep calm and and enjoy yourself at the window :D
