Had an amazing time at the museum today. Was given a lovely tour by Dave who gave us wonderful history and local details that made the experience more realistic and fun! Strongly recommend everyone to call in and have a look, you will learn so much and have a great time!

Bit of a hike from the carpark but well worth it if only for the view of the Tyne. Small and interesting museum.

Visited TVLB with the SVLB sar team today and we were greeted by Dave who immediately welcomed us all in to the brigade watchouse. TVLB is one of only three volunteer life brigades left within the country. TVLB being the oldest. The brigade watchouse has an abundance of local history and I would urge anyone visiting the area to visit here. Today the have over 20 volunteers who regularly attend callouts from the Maritime Coastguard to either help Her Majesty's Coastguard or independently complete a rescue. Their actions today make tomorrow's history. Good luck to everyone at Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade

It was closed on an open day. No explanation was left outside why it was closed other than a \We're sorry we are closed sign\. The website said that it was open as well with no update explaining the sudden closure. Not happy.
