Had a lovely festive day on railway with my sister and our children. Got me in the Christmas spirit when it’s hard to feel so festive. Really lovely had a great time .

A magical train journey to start our Christmas. From the moment we saw the train lit up our son who is 6 could not stop talking, he was so excited. It was an amazing experience, from the lights, the decorations at the stations, the views from the windows and the story of elves told to us on the train. So much effort has obviously gone into this and we want to thank everyone involved in making this so fantastic for us. This is a new family tradition!!!!
Great evening out, the heavy rain didn't really make any difference. The staff were all very friendly & attentive. Without being overly officious. The little ones will enjoy what's on offer.
Really great railway with some really well preserved and refurbished stock. The B12 engine looks resplendent in LNER Apple Green and the seat covers have recently been replaced inside the coaches. Particularly atmospheric in autumn and winter with more steam everywhere! Really nice to travel by the sea by steam. We went for the cream tea option and it was very good. Plenty to fill us up! Also very good in terms of social distancing as they operate compartment stock so your family group is separate from everybody else. A worthy attraction that is well kept and very enjoyable!
A wonderful place to visit if you like trains, and still a good place to visit even if you don't. There are special events held here quite frequently too.
