50 years ago, I entered RTC Great Lakes. I spent 16 1/2 years in foster care in Western New York and the U.S. Navy was my first experience in the eal world\! It gave me a \foundation\ to help me trust and believe in people. I spent 5 years in the U.S. Navy (10 months in Vietnam). It helped me in my 31 year career in the United States Border Patrol. I don't know if he is still alive, but thank you BM1 DeVries (Company 240) for your guidance!!!

It's pretty okay. They give you free food, free clothes, showers, housing, and all that. A pretty nice place. But they yell a lot for some reason. Don't know what that's about. Maybe they're just really angry or something. Anyways, if you like free stuff, this is a pretty neat place.
Was there for a short period in 2000. May - June6th to be exact. Although I did like my Chief and Petty Officers, I was to short to keep in step and many other problems. I was discharged \ honorably \ now I can say I am a Veteran Of The United States Navy! I may not have served long but I got a lot farther then some. Thank you to those who are still Serving!!!
Enjoyed the free personal trainers. Gave a great show every morning, before sunrise. Enjoyed the view of the falling snow in below freezing weather on my way to eat free food. Highly recommend for those who like to travel.
I was there blizzard of 78 Company 010 21st division snow was over the windows on first floor snow drifts so tall we had to tunnel threw them to get to chow next day
