I couldn't have asked for a better day for our introduction fly fishing with Stewart. From start to finish everything was very professionally catered for. He picked us up from our accommodation and took us to our fishing location in the boarders. All the equipment was provided, the tuition was spot on and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. Plus we even caught some fish! Thanks again. We will be back for more!

Getting it right with big river salmon fishing in Scotland is notoriously hard. Stewart at Alba Game Fishing has not let me down and I felt it only right to now post a public review. From the attention to detail, to, perhaps, the best angling and fly fishing photographs that I have seen, Stewart epitomises everything that is good when a professional is in charge. Highly recommended.
What a superb day fishing on the Tweed attempting to catch the elusive salmon. Stewart was great - a very knowledgeable and patient instructor! It rained most of the day but this in no way comprised the enjoyment of being out in the open air, surrounded by the colours of autumn and little sign of civilisation! No phones, no computers and no people - such a wonderful alternative to being stuck in an office! Looking forward very much to the return visit next season.
I would like to thank and highly recommend Stuart and Ian for the most amazing day on the Tay. I have fly fished for trout all my life but have always wanted that elusive salmon. I would highly recommend Stuart and my gillie Ian to anyone wishing to have a most exciting and professionally tailored day. Simply 10 out of 10!!
Fantastic couple of days on the Tummel & Tay with Alba Game Fishing. Stewart was everything you hope for from a guide; kind, courteous, experienced, generous and obliging! His experience and professionalism are excellent as is his company on the river. I very much look forward to enjoying his company in the near future and highly recommend his services.
