Had breakfast here on my husband's birthday. My daughter asked if they had a candle to put on his meal. Even though they don't serve birthday meals they looked around&found a candle&served it to him. These people served us delicious food with very friendly service...
My wife and I stopped in for late lunch. She took all of the pictures, so they will be on her review. The young woman that greeted us, and cooked the meal, was so nice and welcoming. She asked us how familiar we were with Somali food, and then offered to make a meal. Our definite favorites were the chicken and the rice pilaf. The chicken just fell off the bone and the rice was perfectly spiced. The goat was really tasty, too, but I ended up taking that to go. I was too full to keep eating. The only suggestion I'd have for people passing through that want to try home cooked Somali food is to bring cash, as they may not accept cards when you're there.
Delicious! I went there for lunch today. I had the goat meat with a seasoned rice and veggies. I enjoyed it. The goat meat was tender and seasoned just right. They serve both African and American food. Try the ginger tea.... you won't be disappointed!
A unique authentic dining experience. Only open on weekends, they are brand new and working on opening full time with a full menu. They have come in the bottle!
