Thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu visit to this gorgeous cafe/ Bistro today. The food was amazing and the staff were so warm and friendly. We didn't even plan on eating... Popped in for a coffee and ended up having a fabulous lunch and a lovely glass of wine! Highly recommend.
My American girlfriend and I visited today on their formal grand opening purely by chance! It was an absolutely terrific experience. The cafe has a very cool and modern vibe, not at all formal, and the kids working there are really friendly and sweet and made us feel welcome by chatting with us casually and asking my girlfriend about her work in America. There are real plants for decor, and a nice mixture of seating options, including some low and soft furniture kids might enjoy sitting on. A nice mixture of tunes play and can be heard from the street seating when the door is open for summer weather, and all food is prepared close to the service area so it smells good and leafy in there. They have gluten free and vegan options, hot and cold drinks, and homemade ice cream. The majority of their food is vegetarian or vegan. We got the chef's special which was a salad with an assortment of fruit, nuts, greens and broccoli which we split together, which we were assured would be filling and one was definitely enough for us both as a side. In addition, my girlfriend got a falafel, beetroot and mixed greens concoction on sourdough while I got fried tomatoes, mozzarella and assorted greens on a bagel. I don't remember the rest of the fillings but it was really lovely! The young lady who served us recommended rose lemonade when we asked what was best for drinks. We got our food to eat there and sat outside, and it was just a perfect finish for our day out. The lemonade is extremely sharp and fresh which cuts perfectly through the flavours from the sandwiches, and you can really smell the rose scent. After we were done eating, we asked for two more bagels to take away with us. We were especially impressed by how much flavour was packed into everything. It's a bunch of really refreshing healthy-feeling meal options that also carries a lot of taste and substance, and I really do wish them all the best with their opening. We will both be back to support them very soon!
Nice place to stop. Ok selection. Can be a bit pricey. I would say they're trying to hard for a mid Cornish town. Feels like a Shoreditch coffee shop in the middle of Bodmin. Still nice enough if a little pricey.
This is such a cool restaurant/bar, really nicely decorated and not too big. The staff are really friendly and have great range of different drinks. We had 4 tapas dishes between 3 which was great for us although I wanted to try everything. The lamb kofta is incredible, a must have!!
