Cozy restaurant. Quality ingredients and great food. Top prices but still good value. Very good service. Worth a visit and expect 40 per head

One of the most magical and stylish restaurants I've ever encountered. The food is fab and the ambience is like nothing I've experienced before. We first dinned there 10 years ago and nothing has altered! Well worth a visit but you need to book well in advance.

Superb food and fantastic service. The goats cheese soufflé was like eating a cloud and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Other highlights were the duck with coconut rice and the choice of wines. Would definitely recommend it.

The food is well cooked, looks great, and tastes good. I have posted pictures. Water supplied to the table very quickly as was freshly baked bread in an olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip which was a nice touch. How it lets itself down from my personal viewpoint is to see it from the point of a lone diner. There is no internet available (a decision taken by the owners) and the signal strength inside is poor. I happened to have a book but the lighting was so dim I couldn't read it comfortably. This leaves the lone diner with nothing to do but inspect the tablecloth or decor. Go as a couple, or as a group. The atmosphere is retro and dates to the 1950's. I asked about the style and it reflects the personal taste of the owners as if you had been invited into their house. Music being played were a mix of both French songs and American Frank Sinatra style classics. On my visit there was a distinct 'odour' I would describe as 'urine'. Mortified though I was to mention it, I did in the end. I am sure they will address this pretty quickly and I don't want this to put people off from going in as the food needs to be sampled. Hopefully, this is a temporary issue and the next reviewer can update for the benefit of us all.
