I started studying at NLSSM in 2019. The course and classes were engaging, exceptional, challenging and fun and has given me the confidence to be a competent therapist. All the tutors were excellent and the teaching was high quality, with different methods of teaching, throughout the course. I could not recommend it more. The tutors were very understanding of my needs and spent time, to ensure you felt confident even in a one to one setting. I would recommend NLSSM to anyone interested in pursuing a future career in sports massage.

I’ve trained at a number of schools for my various qualifications, culminating most recently in my Level 5 BTEC in Sports Massage & Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy. I researched other training providers but chose NLSSM as it seemed the most professional in its approach and publicly has the most active and supportive graduate community, which was important to me as whilst training is essential having a go to group when working is more so. The course started well and then Covid arrived! But the NLSSM team got to grips with the situation quickly, and despite all the challenges I completed my training only a month or so later than originally anticipated. The tutors were knowledgeable, and happy to share more than just topics from the curriculum, keeping the subject matter relevant to the real world. The shift to online learning was very well managed, and in fact some of it I hope will be kept as I feel it really added to the depth of learning that I enjoyed. Students ranged from the young to the old, some with no experience and some with years of experience, but the pace was well set and the disparity of knowledge well handled. Having now graduated I have made some lifelong friends from the course, and am enjoying the community of NLSSM graduates spread nationwide and further afield. I’d be happy to speak to anyone considering doing this course to answer any questions and assuage any doubts they might have, as this was the best training school I have attended.
I completed the Diploma Course at NLSSM and qualified in September 2020. Its a fantastic organisation that went above and beyond to support me on my journey to become a massage therapist. The tutors are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The opportunities to take part in work experience and student clinics are an invaluable part of the learning. Looking back its incredible how much I leant, but the course is structured so well that it builds up step by step and by taking each piece in turn it can be tackled without ever seeming too daunting. I enjoyed the learning experience at NLSSM very much, I'd recommend them without hesitation.
I was really apprehensive about studying again after so long but from the moment I attended the initial induction weekend, I felt like I was part of a family. The Tutors are so knowledgeable, friendly and patient and even when we were unable to attend classes in person due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff and tutors were quick to set up online learning, zoom meetings and quizzes so our course and learning could continue. It's thanks to them that I recently gained my BTEC level 5 Sports Massage and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy diploma and I've also made new friends for life! I highly recommend NLSSM.
From the very first moment you walk through the doors you are greeting with a lovely warm welcome and made to feel at total ease! All the Tutors are extremely knowledgeable and professional but deliver the material in their own style bringing their personality and humour with it! You are made to feel part of the NLSSM family immediately and I look forward to the rest of of my studies with them and the opportunities they will open up for me post study!
