Stumbled upon this place in search for a sushi spot that is good but casual. This place is it. Very good sushi and loved the neighborhood feel of the location. The spicy tuna may be the best I’ve ever had.

Great Japanese restaurant - we recommend the gyoza and dragon roll. Mochi ice cream is also good. Had a three course meal with beers for 53. We went at 5:30 on a Saturday, and it was pretty busy by the time we left. Restrooms are clean. Tables are spaced far apart currently. Outdoor seating is covered. Parking lot in back. They brought things out one by one, which was nice for a relaxing meal.
I’ve been a regular here for years. Same staff that remembers you, food is always top notch, and prices are very reasonable for the high quality of the establishment. Do not be out off by the modest building, the cuisine speaks for itself.
This is the most authentic traditional Japanese place in Houston. It is a Japanese owned family business for over 20 years. Their bentos are all carefully crafted and excellent both in taste and appearance. Sushi is always made fresh to order. I love coming for their Curry Tonkatsu special on Thursday evenings. Price has increased over the years, but still reasonable (nowhere's cheap inside the loop).
Great place for authentic, high quality, and simple sushi. Their tables are very well distanced, both outside and inside. Let them recommend which sushi to get, including special items like Hokkaido sea urchin. Also, it's BYOB with a 15 corkage fee, which is a good option if you have a good bottle of wine that you want to enjoy with your meal.
