Sometimes you are in support - backing up others to make them sound better - and moments later you are standing in the spotlight for a powerful solo. Backstage you are developing new ideas, tuning your instruments, composing new songs, maintaining the equipment, promoting the band and negotiating the next concert, pay or tour.
