Another hidden gem I have only just discovered. Entrance in Hill Lawn, limited parking on the road. Entrance clearly marked. Extremely muddy, so make sure you take your wellies! Trees bare at this time of year, but plenty of birds to listen too and lots of squirrels. Obviously some industry here in the past, lots of bricks, slabs etc and a few rusty oil drums. Unfortunately, a fair bit of litter in amongst the trees and in the Brook, so will not give 5 stars. Reminds me of Golden Valley. Well worth a visit. Would be great in the Spring/Summer.

Walked the dog and threw her ball and it went down the bank, I went to retrieve it, but fell in the mud, much to my wife's delight. She guffawed, I said that's an old fashioned laugh and the ball went into the river and floated away. How we chortled! Great place, I'll go again
Lovely place for a walk if you live nearby, although there can sometimes be very muddy paths and some rubbish. However, we're lucky to have a group of volunteers who help look after Nightingale Valley woods.
It's my local walk and has been a great place to get away from all the Rona madness. Local artists and makers have been putting up things for the kids to spot along the walk and it is just a magical place.
Really lovely and easy walk along the river.lots of interesting things to see.
