The Church of St. Nicholas and the Wonderworker Nikolai and the Queen Alexandra's Orthodox Church is an Orthodox church of the Western European Exarchate of the parishes of the Russian tradition (Patriarchate of Constantinople) in Nice. Construction began in the winter of 1856 on the initiative of the widowed empress Alexandra Feodorovna, the wife of Emperor Nicholas I, and with the participation of the Russians who are under treatment in Nice. Landmark Cote d'Azur and Nice. The first Orthodox church in the city and the first parish Russian church in Western Europe.

Great architecture
L'église Saint Nicolas et sainte Alexandra, est le première église du rite orthodoxe russe de Nice. La construction de cette église résulte de la présence, au 19e siècle, d'une importante colonie russe qui vient chaque année profiter des bienfaits de la clémence météorologique de la Riviera. Suite à une demande l'impératrice Alexandra Feodorovna la construction de cette église a débuté en 1857. Cette église a été consacrée le 31 décembre 1859. Actuellement, elle n'est ouverte que pour les offices, le samedi soir et le dimanche matin. Pour précisions, les vigiles ont lieu le samedi à 18h00, et la messe le dimanche à 10h00. Discrètement, lors des offices pour pourrez voir, bien sur, sans prendre de photos, le bel iconotase de cette église. Attention, l' église étant au premier étage, l'accès, se fait par un joli double escalier, qui malheureusement, rend l'accès impossible au PMR.
