A stunning baroque cathedral set on a lovely square in the old city. Many beautiful artworks and statues and a magnificent dome. Much lovelier than the more modern cathedral in the commercial centre of Nice and cettainly more calm and serene. A must-see in the old city
A striking presence within a small square, a cathedral, although not the largest church in Nice. An historic site for the church, with the current building \only\ around 400 years old, in comparison to the original consecration of the site almost 1,000 years ago. The interior of the church is what feels fairly standard Roman Catholicism to me, of praising the Lord by spending an awful lot of money on the building and preaching piety to the people. Impressive architecture and art, but just not my sense in religion.
Amazing main body of the cathedral, although clock tower doesn't equal to it. How ever, the interior is amazing and definitely recommend going there.
Beautiful cathedral! Easy walking distance from Railway station & located along the main shopping precinct with trams stops close by. Stunning facade & interior. Very pleasant calm environment.

Great information about the cathedral. One of my ancestors was baptized there . He was born in 1850. Will consider requesting a copy of that certificate for my genealogy tree documents.
