Super place, very well presented, Me and my granddaughter had a guided tour by the owners children, who expertly explained what they sell, very informative... lovely fresh eggs, and all what you need for chickens, different breeds for sale and loafs of stuff for rabbits, bedding, hutches, advice and all types of song birds....brilliant place...thanks for the tour, well worth the visit, We will use regular now for our fresh eggs and seed.

Only just found this section to leave a review of my visit to Nibley Bird Farm earlier today. Easy to find and to get to (even from the Forest of Dean). The service was very impressive and extremely helpful. Even to the point of offering to clip the wings (saved me a job when I got home) and providing a couple of boxes for me to transport the hens I bought as I had phoned at the last minute to enquire about stocks and availability. There was a varied selection of birds available (when most places I had already tried had very little of anything), good prices, and pretty much all looked to be in good shape and had very good 'living quarters'. (Most certainly far superior to the last place I bought from in Gloucester)! Knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly people at Nibley. Give them a ring before trying anyone else.

Got some beautiful zebra finches and will buy diamond doves and canaries in the spring.

I was so upset to see so many birds in cages, they were unable to scratch the ground or dust bathe, two essential behaviors hens need. I bought 3 ex battery hens early in January from Nibley. I didn't intend to buy hens that day, I went for feed but I had to rescue the birds from their horrible cage. All 3 had flat combs were hunched and one had red raw bare skin on her back and behind. They had been at Nibley since Sept. Their cage was small and they had no clean water. I didn't see food in the cage either. After 3 weeks with me their combs are upright, they have full feathers and they scratch and dustbathe. This goes to show they were not able to thrive at Nibley. Please look closely at the photos posted here by people who have given a good rating, the runs have wire bottoms so hens walk on wire all day. It is not necessary and is cruel. Please Nibley take better care of your birds. The birds in the area at the front look ok.
